By Rail: Bhubaneswar is the nearest railway station to Puri; lying on the line of Kolkata- Chennai route. Hence, there are plethora of trains for Bhubaneswar from Kolkata and Chennai. Apart from that you can take a direct train to Puri from Howrah Station. Apart from that from various other cities as well, you can board trains to Bhubaneswar and from there, you can take taxi to move ahead further

By Air: The nearest airport to Puri is BijuPatnaik Airport, Bhubaneswar. This airport is connected with some of the major cities of India like, Guwahati, Kolkata, Delhi, etc. Hence, you can take flights from these cities and easily reach to Bhubaneswar. From there, you further can take taxi or bus to reach Puri.
