By Rail: New Jalpaiguri is the nearest railway station at the distance of 125 Kilometres. It takes about 4 hours to reach Gangtok from New Jalpaiguri

By Air: Bagdogra Airport at the distance of 124 Kilometres is the nearest airport to Gangtok. From there, you can either hire private taxi to move ahead further or can also book helicopter (as per weather conditions and budget) to reach Gangtok.
