Kerala Madurai Rameshwaram & Kanyakumari 08N / 09D

A blend of Tamil Nadu’s temple towns and Kerala’s backwaters and hills: start in Madurai with the Meenakshi Temple’s towering gopurams, then head to Rameshwaram for the Ramanathaswamy Jyotirlinga and the Pamban Bridge. Cross into Kerala for tea gardens in Munnar, backwater cruises in Alleppey, and the beaches/heritage of Kochi and Kovalam.

• Day 01 : Arrive Trivandrum (By Flight/ Train) – transfer to hotel + Excursion of Kovalam Beach (18Kms, 30 Minutes’ drive)

  Upon arrival in Trivandrum Airport/ Rly station, meet our representative who will warmly welcome and transfer to hotel. Later visit Padmanabha Swamy Temple and perform worship / prayers.
  
  Later embark for day excursion to Kovalam is one of the best beaches of Kerala. Upon arrival check into hotel. Rest of time spends time on the sandy coast of the beaches. Back to hotel.

• Day 02 : Kovalam Beach – Kanyakumari (100Kms, 3Hrs drive)

  After breakfast at hotel drive for Kanyakumari, located at the southernmost tip of the Indian Peninsula is the confluence of three large oceans such as Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean & Arabian Sea. It is one the best tourist destination in India and increasingly gaining importance due to its enchanting natural beauty and seashore. After fresh visit Kanyakumari Temple – dedicated to Kanyakumari, the manifestation of the universal mother as a young maiden bride, followed by Vivekananda rock memorial by ferry boat ride and Gandhi Mandapam – built to honor one of the greatest Indian leaders – Mahatma Gandhi. Evening enjoy Sunset view along the coast.

• Day 03 : Kanyakumari – Rameswaram (330Kms, 6 Hrs drive)

  Post breakfast at hotel depart for Rameswaram. In the afternoon arrive and check into hotel.
  
  After some rest explore Rameshwaram is an important pilgrim tourist destination just equivalent to Benaras. The presiding deity here is in the form of Linga with name of Sriramanatha swamy temple. It is one of the twelve jyotirlingas.The Grandest part of the temple is the 1219m pillared corridor consisting of 3.6m high granite pillars, rich carved and well proportioned. Visit Ramanathswamy temple, Sita Kund & Rama’s bridge etc.

• Day 04 : Rameshwaram – Madurai (180Kms, 4 Hrs drive)

  After breakfast drive to Madurai. On arrival check into Hotel. After fresh up explore the temple town which is a 2,600 years old famous temple town of south India. Arrive and check into the hotel. Afternoon, visit the famous Meenakshi Temple, Mariamman Teppakulam (Great Tank) and the Palace of Tirumalai Nayak. In the evening, revisit the Meenakshi Temple for prayer ceremony.
  Overnight stay will be at Madurai.

• Day 05 : Kodaikanal - Sightseeing / Munnar (140Kms, 4Hrs drive)

  Post breakfast at hotel proceed for Munnar by surface driving you through the scenic pathways dotted with pepper and cardamom plantation, tea plantations and thick forests. On arrival at Munnar check into the hotel. Rest of the day free at leisure.
  Overnight stay at Hotel.

• Day 06 : Munnar - Sightseeing

  Take breakfast in the hotel and later enjoys the sightseeing tour of Munnar. Walk through the green carpet of well -organized tea bushes; watch the beautiful mist and romantic green meadows, romantic view of the waterfall. Visit Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai, Tea Plantation etc. Rest of the day free at leisure.
  Overnight stay at hotel.

• Day 07 : Munnar – Periyar (130Kms, 3.5Hrs drive)

  Morning drive to Thekkady. Throughout the journey enjoy the panoramic view of the nature with occasional waterfalls and streams. On arrival at Thekkady, check into the hotel. Later in the afternoon experience the beauty of the surrounding areas. Here you have opportunity to see varied species of birds and animals in their natural. Enjoy the boat ride (at own cost) in Periyar Sanctuary. Back to hotel and rest of the day free at leisure.

• Day 08 : Periyar – Alleppey (145Kms, 4.5Hrs drive) (B,L,D)

  After breakfast at hotel drive to Alleppey. On arrival check in to Houseboat. After fresh up enjoy the Houseboat passing through the scenic beauty of the place with refreshing natural beauty, exotic resorts and the rustic villages.
  Overnight stay in Houseboat.

• Day 09 : Alleppey / Cochin (70Kms) – Airport Departure (B/f only)

  Post breakfast check out the houseboat and proceed for Cochin. On reaching cochin enjoy sightseeing including Fort Cochin, Mattacherry island, Jewish synagogue and Chinese fishing net etc. Later in the evening transfer to Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
