Darjeeling Gangtok and Lachung 07N / 08D

Go deeper into North Sikkim on this 7N/8D adventure. Spend 3 nights in Gangtok visiting Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, MG Marg, and local monasteries. Drive to Lachen for 1 night and continue to the high-altitude Gurudongmar Lake, then head to Lachung for 1 night to explore Yumthang Valley — the ‘Valley of Flowers’ — and hot springs. Return via Gangtok to Darjeeling for 2 nights to enjoy Tiger Hill sunrise, the Himalayan Toy Train, Batasia Loop, tea gardens, and monastery visits. With hotels, permits, private transfers, and guided sightseeing included, this trip is perfect for travelers seeking mountains, alpine lakes, and Himalayan culture.

• Day 01 : Bagdogra Airport / Gangtok (135Kms, 6 Hrs drive)

  Upon arrival at Bagdogra Airport (IXB), our representative will be assisting for the transfer to Gangtok, (135 kilometers 6 Hours) , capital of the 22nd State of India, Sikkim is one of the most beautiful hill station with varied options for tourist - It is known for the monastery, Orchids, High altitude Lake and butterflies – Gangtok suits all tourist due to its options i.e. tranquility to adventure, land of monastery, mystic rituals & festivals - Situated at an height of 1670 meters / 5480 feet and is the most visited spot of India - The road is along the River Teesta and is picturesque. Upon arrival check into hotel. Rest of time relaxes in the hotel or local market.

• Day 02 : Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir (Full Day)

  Morning breakfast at hotel – Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir ( New ) nearly 40 kilometers - The Lake is oval shaped lake nearly 50 feet deep - generally covered in snow for most of the year the year – this lake is home to the Brahmini ducks & many migratory birds – nearby is the sacred Baba Mandir known to be a very holy site for all - Nathula Pass to Republic of China is nearly 20 kilometers and is optional tour(at additional cost). Back to Gangtok. Evening free to roam around M G Road (Mall) or local Shopping center.

  (Incase of Landslide or due to any other reasons if Tshangu Lake is closed then an alternate sightseeing will be provided).

• Day 03 : Gangtok – Lachen (107 kms / 6 hrs)

  After breakfast check out from hotel with limited luggage and proceed to Lachen (8,500 ft.), North Sikkim. On the way take a break for some beautiful spots which are worth seeing and visiting like Naga Waterfall, The Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang and Bhim Nala Waterfall. On arrival at Lachen check into your hotel.
  Overnight stay at Lachen.

• Day 04 : Lachen – Chopta Valley – Gurudongmar Lake – Lachung

  Early Morning drive to Chopta Valley (13,200 ft.) &Gurudongmar Lake (17,100 ft.). Back to hotel. Afternoon drive to Lachung (8,700 ft.). Arrive by evening.
  Overnight stay at Lachung.

• Day 05 : Lachung – Yumthang Valley Excursion – Gangtok

  Early Morning drive to Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft. Known as Valley of Flowers). On theway back, visit Hot Spring considered to have medicinal properties. Back to resort and check out to proceed for Gangtok (5,500 ft.). On the way if the weather is clear you may get to see Mighty Khangchendzonga from Singhik view point. On arrival at Gangtok check-in to your hotel. Rest of the evening free for your own activities.

• Day 06 : Gangtok – Darjeeling (100Kms, 3.5Hrs drive)

  After breakfast at hotel Start for a city tour covering Flower show, Cottage Industry and Handicraft Centre, Institute of Tibetology, Dro-dul Chorten, &Banjakhri Falls. After completed the sightseeing take a transfer for Darjeeling nearly 105 kilometers 3 ½ - 4 hours drive – at an height of 2123 meters / 70001 feet lies the land of breathtaking beauty, sloping tea gardens with spectacular views of the Mount Everest is the Queen of the hills – It is also home to the famous World Heritage train – The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR). Upon arrival check into hotel. Rest of time free at leisure.

• Day 07 : Darjeeling Local Sight Seeing (Half Day)

  Early morning at around 3:45 AM drive to 8000 feet / 2440 meters through primitive forests of oak, magnolia to Tiger Hill to view sunrise over Kanchendzonga Peak (subject to clear weather) – On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop – On the way back visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial & Batasia Loop – Back to hotel for breakfast - After breakfast rest for half an hour After breakfast next round of sightseeing - Half Day city tour includes Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed), Peace Pagoda – Back to hotel – Evening free to stroll around the area.
  Overnight stay at Darjeeling.

• Day 08 : Darjeeling – Bagdogra Departure

  Post morning breakfast spend in the hotel until transfer to Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for onward journey.
