Explore the best of Northeast India on this 5N/6D Assam & Meghalaya tour. Begin in Guwahati with a visit to the revered Kamakhya Temple. Head to Kaziranga National Park for an exciting jeep or elephant safari to spot the one-horned rhino. Then unwind for 3 nights in Shillong, the ‘Scotland of the East’, visiting Umiam Lake, Elephant Falls, and bustling Police Bazaar. Discover Cherrapunjee’s misty waterfalls and living root bridges, and explore Mawlynnong, Asia’s cleanest village, with its sky walk and balancing rock. A perfect mix of wildlife, waterfalls, culture, and scenic hill towns with hotels, private transfers, and guided sightseeing included.

• Day 01 : Arrive Guwahati Airport – Transfer to hotel

  Scheduled arrive Guwahati Airport, meet our representative who will warmly and transfer to hotel.
  Overnight stay in Hotel.

• Day 02 : Guwahati – Kaziranga (250 Kms, 5 Hrs drive)

  Post breakfast at hotel check out and depart for Kaziranga. On reaching check into hotel. If time available enjoy Jeep Ride (at own cost) in Kaziranga National Park. Evening free at leisure.
  Overnight stay in Hotel.

• Day 03 : Kaziranga - Elephant Safari/ Shillong (270 Kms, 7 Hrs drive)

  Early morning explore Kaziranga National Park on back of elephant (own cost). Apart from world's endangered One-horned Rhinoceros, the Park sustains half the world's population of genetically pure Wild Water Buffaloes, over 1000 Wild elephants and perhaps the densest population of Royal Bengal Tigers anywhere. Kaziranga is also a bird watcher's paradise and home to some 500 species of birds. The Crested Serpent Eagle, Palla's Fishing Eagle, Grey headed Fishing Eagle, Swamp Partridge, Bar-headed goose, whistling Teal, Bengal Florican, Storks, Herons and Pelicans are some of the species found here. We will return to the resort for breakfast. Later check out and depart for Shillong.
  
  On the way visit Umiam Lake (Guests can do boat rides on direct payment basis). On arrival at Shillong check –in at the hotel. In the evening guests can walk around the Local Iewduh( Police Bazar) Market at Shillong.

• Day 04 : Shillong – Cherrapunjee-Shillong

  This morning, you will proceed to a day excursion to Cherrapunjee (54 km from Shillong) Cherrapunjee, the capital of the British till 1874 affords an astounding perspective on the essence of Meghalaya, ‘The Abode of Clouds. Visit the waterfalls, View points, etc. After sightseeing back to Shillong via Elephant falls .
  Overnight stay at Shillong.

• Day 05 : Cherrapunjee– Mawlynnong – Shillong

  Morning after an early breakfast, you will proceed for a full day excursion to, Mawlynnong Village with Living Root Bridge has earned the distinction of being the Cleanest Village in Asia the picturesque village, offers many interesting sights such as the living root bridge and another strange natural phenomenon of a boulder balancing on another rock. Mawlynnong nestled in the pristine hill state of Meghalaya, is along the Indo-Bangla border known as Dawki Village. This cute and colorful little village is known for its cleanliness.
  Overnight stay at Shillong.

• Day 06 : Shillong – Guwahati (60 Kms, 2.5 Hrs drive ) / Airport Departure (B/f only)

  After breakfast at hotel proceed for Guwahati. On reaching proceed for local Guwahati sightseeing including Kamakhya Temple ,Umananda Temple ,Kalakshetra, Balaji Temple etc. Rest of time free at leisure until scheduled transfer to Airport to board the flight for onward destination.
