Mumbai – Shirdi (1N) - Aurangabad (1N)/ Ajanta & Ellora Caves (1N)–Nashik - Mumbai

A 4-day ex-Mumbai blend of pilgrimage and UNESCO heritage. Start with 1 night in Shirdi for Sai Baba Samadhi Mandir aarti, Dwarkamai, and Chavadi. Drive to Aurangabad for 1 night to explore the Ellora Caves with the monolithic Kailasa Temple, Bibi Ka Maqbara “Mini Taj”, and Daulatabad Fort. Use the next day for Ajanta Caves with 2nd-century BCE Buddhist murals, followed by 1 night near Ajanta or back in Aurangabad. Return to Mumbai via Nashik for Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga and Panchavati. Includes 3N AC stays with breakfast + dinner, private cab for the full circuit, temple assistance, and heritage sightseeing. Day 01 : Arrive Mumbai Airport –Drive to Shirdi (285Kms, 5.5Hrs drive)
Scheduled arrive Mumbai Airport, meet our representative who will warmly welcome and later proceed for Shirdi. Upon arrival check into hotel. After fresh up visit Mahasamadhi temple of Sri Sai Baba. Abode of one of Maharashtra's most revered saint -- Sai Baba of Shirdi. Popularly known as the 'Child of God', Sai Baba preached tolerance towards all religions and the message of universal brotherhood. Every activity at Shirdi revolves around the vast temple complex dedicated to Sai Baba. Devotees start queuing up in the early hours of dawn to catch a glimpse and seek the blessings of the life-size statue of Sai Baba.
Post prayers enjoy local sightseeing including Dwarkamani Mosque where the Baba meditated and slept on alternate nights. Near the mosque, in a corridor is the dhuni or eternal flame that burns day and night. Other places of importance are the Gurusthan, the Kandoba Temple, Shani Mandir, Narsimha Mandir, Changdev Maharaj Samadhi and the Sakori. Evening join the special Aarti in the temple. Back to hotel.

Day 02 : Shirdi - Aurangabad (115Kms, 4.5/5 Hrs drive) Via Ajanta Caves
Take morning breakfast in the hotel and check out to depart for Aurangabad. Enroute visit Ajanta Caves(Closed on Monday). Nestling in an inner fold of the Sahyadri hills, 100 kms from the city of Aurangabad in the shape of a mammoth horseshoe are the 30 rock-hewn caves of Ajanta, dating from 2nd century B.C. Discovered in 1819, by a group of British Officers, these startling achievements took around 600 years to create. Carved with little more than a hammer and chisel, Ajanta, once the retreat of the Buddhist monastic orders features several ‘Chaityas’ and Viharas. The exquisite paintings and sculptures of Buddha’s life belong to the Mahayana period. In the afternoon arrive the city and check into hotel.
Post fresh up proceed for city sightseeing tour of Aurangabad. The Pani Chakki is a late 17th century water mill that displays the engineering skills of Malik Ambar, the architect of Aurangabad City. It is surrounded by a picturesque garden-landscape dotted with fish tanks. The Bibi-ka-maqbara was built by Aurangzeb’s son as a tribute to his mother, Begum Rabia-ud-Durani. It is a replica of the Taj Mahal, and stands out as the only example of Mughal architecture on the Deccan Plateau. Also visit the Aurangabad Caves No. 7 & 8, caves from the Mahayana school of Buddhism and Daulatabad Fort, a labyrinthine structure that was once covered in Persian tiles. Back to hotel.

Day 03 : Aurangabad -Ellora Caves – Buddhist & Hindu Sculptures/ Depart for Nashik
Post breakfast in the hotel check out and proceed for excursion for Ellora Caves (Closed on Tuesday). Impressive in their own right are the rock-hewn temples and monasteries of Ellora that lays just 30 kms away from Aurangabad City and are the meeting point of the Buddhists, Jains and Hindus. In all, there are 34 elaborate cave temples. Later depart for Nashik. In the evening arrive and check into hotel.

Day 04 : Nashik - Mumbai (170Kms, 4 Hrs drive)
Early morning visit the popular temples including Trimbakeshwar Templeand the Sundernarayan Temple. Back to hotel. Post fresh updepart for Mumbai. Upon arrival proceed for sightseeing of Mumbai. Start your city tour and visit Gateway of India – one of the most famous landmarks built to commemorate the visit of King George V and Queen Mary to India followed by Siddhi Vinayak Temple, Dhobi Ghat, Haji Ali Mosque and Choupatty Beach.
Later in the evening scheduled transfer to Mumbai Airportto board the flight for onward destination.
Tour ends with happy memories.
